A recent study indicates, on a scale of 1 to 5, how each state measures up to others in physics and math education and teacher qualifications. Massachusetts easily bested all other states with a score of 4.82, while Mississippi came in at 1.11. Twenty-one states in total, including California, earned below or far below average scores, while only 10 states earned scores above the national average.

Singapore Math continues to catch on throughout the US. Besides our ongoing continental US trainings, trainers from SMARTTraining have been contacted by educators in Palau and Curacao!

We had great results from LEARN Charter School Third Campus thanks to the hard work of teachers and support of administrators when I was there last month. Not only did they learn about Singapore Math from me, but I also had the pleasure of LEARNing more about them. I found their actual test scores from the Illinois State testing for math standards exceeded the initial projections by more than double. I’m so incredibly proud of this group and we are thrilled to announce an annual contract for this school year! We’re jazzed to see where we can take them…UP!
